What the fuck is going on here, UC2 is just pretty much objectively better.

UC2 had better gameplay, felt a lot more responsive and UC3 tends to limit control to make it look more cinematic but it just feels off.

UC2 was more polished, and had nicer artwork. UC3 is obviously a good looking game but just wasn't artistically creative and often looked bland.

UC2 had better story and characters, by miles. Like someone else said, I can't even remember the name of the Helen Mirren's lookalike... The story was awful and you could tell they created set-pieces first and tried to wrap a story around those moments which made the game feel unfocused, shallow and contrived.

UC2 had much better multiplayer. They overcomplicated the simple and fun foundation UC2 set. Boosters, perks and all that rubbish is crap. Simplicity is the keynote of all true elegance.

UC2 also had perfect pacing with not a boring moment, although UC3 is almost a carbon copy it has too many boring moments that ruin things. The desert section for example was a bore, went on far too long.

I'm pretty sure even Naughty Dog admitted they wish they delayed UC3, and I agree, it was rushed to meet that massive holidays launch period the series needs alongside holiday bundling, clearly the game suffered for it. Oh well, it sold well and it is still a good game overall, probably great on its on but it pales in comparison to UC2.

UC2 (9.5/10) >> UC3 (8.5/10) > UC1 (8/10)
