This. Especially in the US, they make sure they keep their rights to have guns there so there isn't a chance that they'd give up the right to drive.

Except the world is not USA. Plenty of people find driving annoying and damn expensive. You have to buy a license, get it, buy a car, pay for insurance, pay for car's maintenance (or we say upkeep in english, I don't know...), spend money on wichever energy your car use...

Outside of housing, driving is the second more expensive thing in common people budget.

While it won't convince every driver, I am sure their already are plenty of potential client who will be happy to forget about driving and the expense it suggests.

Yeah, but choosing not to drive is very different from not being allowed to drive.

 

We agree on this. Thinking it would be possible to remove the right to drive to people without wrecking havoc in social balance is pure madness.
