Well battery technology has got to be close to a big change.

If were talking about Tesla the electric car manufacturer, all their cars are already over 200 miles a charge and some will be over 300 miles a charge by 2017. Not to mention they're making charge stations that will give you a fully charged battery in much less time then filling up your car with gasoline, 5 - 10 years will be a big change.

teslas like to burn. the cars arent realy save, and atm you need a lot more time to load em. we need a completly new batterie tech for it, an that will not happen so fast, there are some interesting ideas and prototyps, but we need more time and they still have problems. and Li isnt cheap and we need alot for 1b cars...
