What you think of gamers who afford every system, every gen?

And also it does not consume very much non-effective time.

Example:

Sports fishing: maintain your equipment - long travels to the fishing lake/river (for most people) - taking care of the catch. Very little time (of the total time consumed) is spent on actually fishing. To decide what equipment you should buy takes a lot of time and pondering.

Most people use hobbies as a "legitimate" time sink. But the hobby must be "proper" i.e. socially acceptable. Being a cineast is, being a fashionista is, being a gourmand is, being a game connoisseur is not that much.

To those who want and have the resources: Go ahead and build your collections, if it makes you happy.
