Just realizing that I missed this! And what's interesting, Uncharted (barring Drake's Fortune) usually has, maybe one or two regional bundles (EU), which means the majority of those sales came from individual copies (though as I've said, there's absolutely nothing wrong with bundling). If Uncharted 3 is undertracked to that degree, 10 million for UC4 doesn't seem so far out of reach. |
i remember there was a Uncharted and GT5 bundle for the US that was 269 (20$ more than the regular bundle). however this "heavily bundled" excuse is as stupid as it is illogical. if it was "heavily bundled", a term that really has no context behind it, to what degree does heavily bundled even mean? but if it were, heavily bundled, then Uncharted 3 should realistically already be a 10 million seller.
Uncharted 3 sold 2.15 million in 2012 when the PS3 sold a total of 12.15 million. if the majority of PS3s had uncharted bundled with it then sales should be much, much higher for it than just 2.15m in 2012. same thing in 2013, UC3 sold .75m while PS3 sold 8.2 million. after a quick glance at the numbers it safe to conclude that assuming that a majority of PS3's had an uncharted copy in them is again, illogical.
then people tend to forget why these games are bundled, its to move consoles, not the other way around. Halo, Uncharted, Gran Turismo, Call of Duty, GTA and the other big franchises will sell in droves whether they are bundled or not. Console Manufcaturers, bundle them to move more consoles.
