Yeah that's what I do.

I have all the consoles which I guess is my first world problem since not enough time. But I have 3 settings on my tv. 

HDMI 1- Xbox One
HDMI 2- Xbox 360
HDMI 3- PS3, PS4, Wii U (through a splitter)
