 F-Zero, I was wrong :(. I went and looked, and I was thinking of the Sony knockoff. Jak I heard about in a ND interview. They said that after Uncharted, they really really wanted to do another Jak with the engine they created (before doing Uncharted 2).

Anytime a development shop is that motivated to make a game that sells well, they usually get the chance. Motivated teams make better games.
