Making it a Nintendo exclusive would be silly. They dominate in overall sales, but making it an exclusive isn't likely to fill the 30% market share held by the PS/Xbox versions. Especially with the Wii on its death bed.
I could understand them dropping support for the PS3 though. It has the lowest sales (5%~) and won't benefit from a rapidly increasing install base like the PS4. This is all assuming VGC have the numbers right though :p
