I think the Wii U offers a wide range of games in various genres. It uses old IP's that many people still want, like Zelda, Donkey Kong, Super Smash Bros. ect. It also offers Virtual Console games which usually have great value (£5 for 20 hours in certain games is good value) and that is a unique feature in the industry imo.

There are small titles, like Kirby or Pikmin, and a lot of eShop indies. (though 3DS have a few more in quantity.) New IP's exist btw. Hyrule Warriors although uses Zelda & Dynasty/Samurai Warriors, is a new IP. Splatoon is coming up and W101 is also new.

As a Nintendo & PC gamer.......I play 3rd parties and 1st parties. In fact, currently, half of my Wii U retail collection is 3rd Party, and more than half if included the digital titles. I love variety.
