Digital only is one of the possible senarios I can think that can surpass disc. But what I mainly say is that I think discs are on their way out. I said that people wh like to buy used and resale their games, for publishers to sell some type of card like type license that you can take with you to any console or sale afterwards. That way it can be all digital, but keep the perks of phisycal like used games, and borrowed games.

But what im most looking foward t is cartridges to comeback. They are better and cheaper than blurays already and last a lot longer. The best thing is that they are much faster than bluray so dont need to install games on harddrives, and also they have bigger storrage on smaller space and easy to rewright, so thiings like patches and dlc can wright on the cartrige and sve room on harddrive. They consume a lot less energy, dont overheat, dont tend to break. The best thing is backwrds compatability, like nintendos heandhealds are always compatable, and if they wanted they coud have made it gameboy advance compatble in they still sold thouse games.

So I dont hope for all digital future, just thiink discs are on their last consoles. And there are ways to make digital still have the perks of physiical format.

Please show me a cartdridge that costunder 5 dollars and hold 50 GB of data so we can even start discussion.

they decided for slower bluray driver and hdd install to save costs (and we are in the beginning of gen), ps3 uses bd and you don't need full install even at 2x read speed... but at the beggining of gen there were hefty instalation times.

It holds a little more, I hope thats ok. Anything else you need? Just keep in mind that when orderd in bulk they will get cheaper, and by not needing to make it so small, and this is mae for usb, so if they make it a game cartrige they can be a lot faster than for a universal port.

Beware of fake capacity SD memory cards. This and many other cheap, apparently-high-capacity SD memory cards are often low capacity 4GB or 8GB cards that have been hacked (controller chip parameters altered) by dishonest Chinese suppliers so that they show a false inflated capacity. That is why their price is so low. These cards are then redistributed by many clueless resellers and by many other fully-aware resellers who are out to make a quick profit.

Such cards will show their false capacity both in your phone and in Windows properties, and they will even work normally under low usage. However, once their true (low) capacity is exceeded, they will quietly lose or corrupt your valuable data. Files will look okay in their folders, but will be corrupt when viewed, played, or otherwise read back. Your photos, videos, music, contact list, and other data will be irretrievably lost.

Be especially wary of cards with a stated capacity of 64GB or above marked as "SDHC" (not "SDXC"). The SD card association controls and licenses the SD card standards and they define "SDHC" up to a maximum capacity of 32GB. For larger capacity cards, only the "SDXC" standard is valid.

Good 64GB SD cards are out there, but they will conform to the SDXC standard and will be clearly marked as such. Expect to pay roughly $25 and up for 64GB (as of Q4 2014) and at least twice that for 128GB cards.

If you do buy a low-priced card, the first thing you should do is test the capacity using a utility called h2testw. This will fill the card with data and then verify that it can be read back intact. The write phase usually completes without error. It is the verify phase that exposes the fake capacity. Testing the first 32GB is usually sufficient.

Search for "fake capacity flash" using your favorite search engine for more information.

 

Please now link a SD card (it isn't a cartdrige but ok) from a thrustworthy company with this capacity and it/s speed. Because the link you gave is from a fake ship from a dishonest company and don't even have read/writing speed listed.

But that have the same speed as 6x BD so not only costs 40 times more than a media, and would cost a lot more to be loaded by game company it won't give you an advantage... so let's look at something that would be superior.
