This is one of the major problems with American government and lobbyists. Pharmaceutical companies donate stupid amounts of money to politicians they KNOW will keep certain laws open.
Visit the doctor once, get your disease cured?
Or
Visit the doctor often for a prescription which doesn't cure but numbs the symptoms to have returning customers.
This is how our market in America is set up and this is how our government is ran.
