Second hand console games are also extremely cheap, I don't know why some people think that all new console games can only be bought for $60 when one can easily find them second hand for $40.

I know that this doesn't apply for most people, but one of the reasons I like to buy my games in Steam instead of my 360 is because like to support developers I trust, purchasing a game in Steam guarantees that the money I spend on a game (minus Valve's cut of the prize) will get to the hard working people behind it, buying an used game just helps the retailer. Plus, I trust having my games downloaded in my laptop way more than having a physical copy of them, a disc can break, get scratches, or you could even lose it for some reason, I've had my fair share of consoles crapping out on me too, hell, even my 360 has started to malfunction, so I've learned to not trust consoles as much as I did when I was little.

You can get hacked or if steam is down what then? Discs are fixble there are cd shops who can repair it and blueray discs are pretty much unscracheble. And i think this support argument is pretty bold and relative. I can also say i want to support my retail stores, small interpreteneurs on amazon and co. instead servers located in the USA.

5/6 of discs I lend over for people to repair them were even in worse condition when they returned them to me.
who were they? You need to go a special place like cd store or renting store. Or just buy your own cd buffer machine

But, I didn't know that about that unscratchable Blu-Ray thingy you said, that's cool, if true.

Also, why is my "support" argument bold and relative? I don't get. Don't you want to support developers so that they continue being in the bussiness? You'd rather support retailers? That's fine I guess, but would much rather support the company behind the games I enjoy instead of the one who delivers them.
if economy is bad in my country or area i wont be able to afford buying these games. What do you want everyone of these smaller retailers being unemployed?
Regrading the hackz thing, ya got me there, that's a scary thought, but I don't think that's a problem exclusive to Steam, it could happen with any service including PSN and XBLA.
yeah but i wouldnt lose all of my games except the digital ones
