2DS is too ugly to be a serious hit.

I say, discontinue the 2DS or release a new version which look like the 3DS.

Keep the 3DS for brand recognition and release until at least mid-end 2016 to milk the user base at the maximum. Don't lower the prices of games, at no costs, because that's what bring Nintendo money.

I'm in favour of a 2DS re-design. The current design doesn't look very ergonomic/comfortable. Take a 3DS clamshell, remove the 3D, sell it for $130 USD and make it the new 2DS redesign. And discontinue the old design.

Stereoscopic 3D drives up the costs of game development considerably. That's why Nintendo jacked up the price $10 on games. $40 USD might make sense for Pokemon (and even then it can be argued that Pokemon at $30 USD would generate like 50+% more sales and more than make up for the 25% price cut). But definitely not every game. At Boxing Day in Canada I noticed that Final Fantasy Theathrythm Curtain Call at $25 Canadian sold out in no time. The regular price is $45 Canadian. Keeping games like that on the shelf for $40 USD makes absolutely no sense. A game like that should be no more than $30. Gone are the days when people will put down $40 for a game just because it has a Square-Enix logo on it. And $50 USD for Persona Q is a joke. I don't know how anyone can be a ATLUS supporter when all they do is take advantage of their loyal customers.
