I'm not sure if that's the case with Xbox and PS. They cater to the exact same audience.

Not really. PS4 is headed more into cinematic single-player whilst Xbox is headed more into online multiplayer/worlds.

Huh? PS4 paid for exclusivity content on Destiny and it's their biggest game so far. They both rely on online multiplayer world this gen.

I think he is talking about first party games since those show at what each console is really tailored to. Anyways third party games have already migrated to multiplayer gaming.
