A lot of these answers assume Rockstar's hypothetical iteration of Zelda would be GTA in a fantasy setting. However, I highly doubt that would be the case. They have very talented developers and I'm sure they'd uphold the spirit of Zelda while injecting some sandbox elements that their other games are known for. And if anyone hates that idea, I don't see them liking the next Zelda, because that's essentially what Nintendo themselves are doing!
