Well, its not really "rewarding them" but rather a temporary solution cause it certainly didn't seem like psn or xbl was going to be fixed for a while and who knows how long Lizard Squad was going to keep it up! So, Kim giving them this so that at least for now, it stopped the ddos and made it so that people will be able to enjoy their new consoles and games. They will get what's coming to them eventually but until that happens, this seems to be the only way
