Because games are platforms now? C'mon.
This wasn't a misunderstanding. This was misleading information. May have been unintentional but the blame for "misunderstanding" certainly doesn't lie with the fans. They used language that always has a specific meaning in the game industry and are now pretending it meant something else.
If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.
