Their goal is to get dominate all OS markets especially those which control multimedia. Upon seeing Sony's domination of the gaming market they saw blood in the water and once Sony decided not to work with them they became a threat. They should've known Sega wouldn't last the way they were going.

Well they're doing a pretty crappy job. XB! is playing catch up to the PS4 and Windows is losing marketshare to Mac. Windows Phone marketshare is embarrasingly low.
It's time to maybe admit that this OS they're trying push doesn't belong EVERYWHERE ON EVERYTHING. I'd rahter have a unique OS speciically designed for each and every device.
