They're intention is to make a lot of money just like any other company.
The way they're trying to do it is something I'm not a fan of. I don't like the Windows 8 interface. I don't want it on a console. I don't like Microsoft having to use DDR3 memory just so I can run Windows apps on my console. There really aren't any good Windows apps out there.
