Some personal testimony that should interest you: Since getting a WiiU, the time my wife and I spend together playing games has gone way up in the last year. Together, we've beat New Super Mario Bros U, New Super Luigi U, and Super Mario 3D world. A little Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze, MK8 and Smash too. These have been really good multiplayer experiences for us, way better than what we had on 360. Not to say 360 has bad co-op games, but Nintendo games do a better job of helping lower-skilled players compensate for that deficit while keeping the experience fun and challenging for everyone.
Wii U also gives you the most flexibility for playing most any Nintendo game you like.
I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016
