That's part of the reason that i'm eager to move down to where my grad school is going to be, even though i could commute if i wanted. I need to get out of this house and interacting with more people my own age, then the law of large numbers is bound to catch up eventually

Well, i was right about this (written December 14th of last year, before i had even found the apartment i lived in January-July, then i've lived somewhere else still since August)

Not that i've gotten very far, but my social life is strongest it's been since college, certainly (possibly stronger, since i actually go to parties now). Have met a girl, been on one thing that was possibly a date about a month ago (which had been my first date in 4 years at that point). Still trying to see where i stand with her (but if you're interested, then you have about 1000 posts of thread to read on the subject).

So maybe this is my year? If not it has to fall out soon enough. If not this girl, at this school, then i graduate and start actually looking, something i've never really done (not like i'm super desperate for this girl, either, honestly a take it or leave it thing, but i'd rather take it if given the choice).

I believe in you. Please let us know when that moment happens.
