I've been in such a similar situation to this, back in first year Uni. Second-generation Indian chick, failing, felt very strongly for her.
Difference is she was in a relationship, and one day she made a move on me. It was in that moment I lost all interest. Cheating is seriously my biggest turn off. Not a fan of these jezebels.
But prior to that incident, I did many the same things as you. Except, you know, invading privacies, and buying candies for the class. I did keep going to those naff uni banquets though.
