Look I'm no decrier of portrayal but you don't have to look far to the most popular titles to see there's a discrepancy.

I don't mind the SSB costumes, it's not like they can't possibly be wearing stuff like that. I only mind the "play better for less clothing at the end" thing in the older Metroid games.

Yeah, that was a bit messy. It didn't even make any sense in context of the character or story. Thankfully they don't do that anymore, lol.
