Fact: Sony is never going to lay down that much cash for a Vita exclusive for any reason.

Truth: For both DQ and MH,  a PS4 version would really sell no better than a WiiU one.

I can't speak on monster hunter because its not a console franchise, but DQXI on PS4 would destroy a Wii U version. Especially if we're talking about outside of japan.

Fact: Sales for DQ outside Japan are pitiful. Outside Japan, it's niche. There's just not enough there to inspire Sony to dole out cash for something like that.

Japan WiiU and PS4 sales are pretty similar so therefore, no real difference in sales between any two version.

Since when was 1.4m ''pitifull''? Thats what DQVIII managed n the west. In anycase I wasn't talking about the chances of sony money hatting, simply correcting the later half of your statement.

''Truth: For both DQ and MH,  a PS4 version would really sell no better than a WiiU one.''

A PS4 version would obviously sell notably better because of the west as we've contribute over 1m to the last 2 entries in mainline series and the PS4 will proabbably have quadrubled wii U sales by release. Not to mention the PS4 has an obvious impending or already existing JRPG fanbase with all of the games that are coming to it both in west and in Japan (Persona 5, FFXV, Kingdom Hearts 3) and an entry in the franchise itself in the form of DQHeroes. All things considered the PS4 has a much healthy future, actually has an abundance of RPGs coming when compared to the Wii U in Japan, so really a PS4 version would be more succesfull universally. Theres no sensible line of logic to really doubt that.
