That moment, unfortunately, isn't as impactful considering MG Ray comes back later.

But since you've mentioned it, the final boss itself was quite awesome. And the sequence leading to it.

Well if you go anywhere past the tutorial level there are an abundance of scenes more badass than than the first fight against Ray. But it's the least spoilerish thing I could use, taking place about 15 minutes into the game, and it's one of the most easily recognizable moments for sure.
