One of the coolest and most memorable moments in gaming is when Gray Fox confronts Rex in the original Metal Gear Solid. The whole thing was incredibly badass, yet so damn heart-wrenching.

There are quite a few touching moments in video games but I didn't see anything that blends touching with badass as well as this one. Such a powerful scene.

I remember this one scene from Metal Gear Solid. You enter a corridor that has dead soldiers in it and after passing it you fight that cyborg Ninja dude. Not sure which MGS it was, I played it on PC when I was a little kid and it left a huge impact on me. The whole game in fact, also felt sorry for Sniper Wolf. And who can forget Psycho Mantis? Sadly this is the only MGS game I ever played. Is the series still this great?

Yep that's the original MGS and the best one imo (Maybe except the gameplay which didn't age so well) The story is easily the most robust and the closest to perfection. If you didn't finish the game or you don't remember enough of it you should definitely go through it again and then pick up the HD collection to follow the series.

The series is still pretty awesome but its complex plot and occasional plot holes do cause some controversy. I'm also not a big fan of some of the recurring story elements. The gameplay though is continuously evolving so there will be alot to enjoy. You're missing out!

I guess! Being a Nintendo console owner does that to you!

But MGS5 will be getting back to pc again, so I have that to look forward to. I do remember the ending pretty well: battling with your "brother"(or clone?) on top of Metal Gear and then some chase scene in cars, I think?

Great game anyway. In my top 5 favorite games ever. I love stealth games, but barely play them for some reason. Probably because Nintendo doesn't make such games. Last stealth game I played was Arkham City (partly stealth anyway), also a great game!
