Yeah, but it was the best I could find. This was pretty huge news, considering the perceived failure of the PS3 in 2007, did you really not hear about it?

so you're implying that vgc numbers for ps3 and 360 are way off? i'm sure ioi wouldn't have his data this inaccurate.

According to VGchartz the 360 sold 400,000 more but according to the official numbers the PS3 sold 1.5 million more which is a little weird, it's nearly a 2 million difference.

But at the end of 2006, Microsoft shipped millions of units so they could meet the 10 million target for 2006. This means Microsoft shipped very few units for the first few months of 2007, so in terms of units sold for 2007, the PS3 sold slightly more but nowhere near 1.5 million more. 

This means VGchartz either slightly overtracked 360 for '07 or undertracked PS3 for '07, but they weren't off by 2 million units, maybe just half a million.

Phew.......hope that explains it!
