If you cancel most of that debt and nationalise everything that would collapse upon non-repayment (banks, pension funds, etc) then the resulting economy would be a lot healthier. World Hunger - Make more food! Even if we had replicators it wouldn't work, because there is already enough food. The issue is creating the conditions where the local food supply is stable and self-sustaining - adequate water supply, farm equipment and the training to use it, political stability etc. ISIS - Change their mind about their beliefs! If you don't fix the causes, there will be another ISIS along in a minute (ISIS itself is about the third attempt at this). Until the Iraqi/Syrian people themselves oppose radicalism and violence there can't be an end to it (see Northern Ireland). Currently some Sunni tribes passively support ISIS. |
