I hate musicals that have songs excessively. This musical had 13 songs that added nothing I could tell aside from the song list. Some songs were used fantastically well. (See the pitch for the piss bottle). If you like songs that don't really have a purpose other than FILLER, the movie is actually excellent. If you dislike filler songs, well, get someone else to rent it for you.
Anyway, while I did enjoy the movie, does anyone else get the impression that Tim Burton can in fact only make one movie? People will of course keep buying it, but really, creativity isn't the same movie since 1990. Kinda like a prostitute, the demand is there, but the service has never really changed.
