There was also plenty of exploration in that game. I just felt very smart when I found the red tunic and the master ore in that Dark Temple (I think it was that one). Maiamai >>>>>>>>>>>>> Skulltullas (which I never bothered finding)


I didn't really mind the wall painting parts, because most of those just expanded on the ways you could explore. I hope that the things you find in dungeons are more things like that. Upgrades instead of weapons. I also agree with the Maiamai. I hate the Skulltullas, but love the Maiamai quest. I also hope they don't bring back wallet upgrades and wish they kept stamina for item usage.
