If Install base determined which console gets 100% of the games, the DS would have had it a long time ago. Ninja Gaiden sold better on the Xbox 360 and PS3 than the DS. DS was already racking it up when FF 13 was announced and was clearly getting ready to break records. Even if PS3 is not doing as great as previous consoles, FF 13 will still be profitable for SE. Also, they will want a certain series to keep up their image in what they can produce in terms of visuals. |
Its not just userbase that dictates where a game goes.
Demographic and fan expectations play a huge role. Xbox fanbase lacks rpg support while FF fans woud not be pleases with Wii hardware limiting the game.
