Not so much ignorance as an example.
And yes, maybe music is more international, still a great american influence in music history over the last 50+ years. That is including stuff like british blues rock, that was influenced by american blues and then again influenced american music.
As for kids tv in germany, there is german stuff as well as british and so on. But the single biggest probably is US stuff.
Doc McStuffins, correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't this Disney?
That sounds saying Clone Wars is asian because it was animated in Singapore. No offense.

It's under the disney umbrella, but it's made in Ireland and was then bought out by Disney. It's still brown bag studios, similar to how most american car companies are owned by foreign car companies but they are still american car companies. Star wars was from america and then outsourced. No offense but i's completely different. Saying Doc McStuffins is from singapore would actually be the same as saying Doc McStuffins is American. It is still made in Ireland. See, the problem is that Americans lay claim to everything. Like Halloween. An Irish Holiday, but Americans have "laid claim" to it.

EDIT: Brown Bag studios which produces Doc McStuffins was not bought out by Disney and also produces shows for Nikelodeon. They simply distribute their shows through Disney.

A Great american influence on Music? Yes a very great one. America = world? No. And just an FYI even american country was greatly influenced by Irish trad music. It's just sad to claim ownership over everything.
