the thing that really got me is when they included the extra content in the infamous second son collectors edition. content that should have been in the original game. the point i was kind of making is that nintendo's philosophy is entirely different, and i dont see them keeping game content from people just so they buy the more expensive version. its kind of messed up.

You are talking about the free DLC "paper trail" for everyone that have a PSN account? Or the Cole's Legacy that in US was pre-order bonus or special edition elsewhere??? I like the first thing but don't condone with the second one... but if you haven't told me about it I wouldn't even know because I didn't miss anything in the story presented in the game... But yeah they could have made it different, altough you can pay 5 bucks to have it now... but I'm not in favour of day one DLC and the thing if it impacts the story.

About bang per buck... I would say Nintendo is the worst offender on this because they keep selling the game for full price 3y after the release, while others will have the game cheaper 6 months to 1year after... and Halo MCC + the Sony HD Collections usually have more than 3 games on it for 2/3 the price of a new game, so they also have quite good deals. Maybe the games just don't attract you.

you cant knock free dlc. but yeah, the cole's legacy content is what i was referring to.

youre talking a lot about remakes and remasters, nintendo doesnt remake or remaster games that came out a year ago. thats another annoying thing about the library of the other two consoles at the moment. its clear that priorities are different in these two camps (which is my main point, that philosophies are different). nintendo doesnt lower their price for years, but that also means that your game is worth more. people are going to pay 60 dollars for, say, infamous.. but in a year that game will get you maybe 4 dollars in cash. shit, you can trade in smash bros brawl and mario party 8 at gamestop still and get almost ten dollars in cash for either of those. so there are two sides to that argument. if its a game i want, im going to be paying full price anyway, but the difference is, since nintendo doesnt lower their prices, their games are worth more. and even when nitnendo discontinues the games, the prices go up just because nintendo games are worth more to the market. so again, there are two sides to that coin.
