But isn't the point of racing games to play online (or locally with friends)? Keep in mind, as far as the racing genre goes I'm only interested in Mario Kart. It might be different with more realistic racers, but I kind of doubt it.
I would be pretty pissed if the online didn't work properly for Mario kart 8.
I'll probably buy this day one in Europe. I wish Nintendo released a level editor for this game. Would be much cooler than Mario Maker (for me).
