I'm not saying Driveclub should have been an open world game. However, that might have been a good move considering Sony already has a track racer.

Here's the thing, Driveclub wanted to fall between arcade racer and sim. But its not a particularly fun arcade racer and it lacks the depth people want from racers today. NFS and The Crew do a much better job and filling the arcade racer gap.

Personally I think the best direction for Driveclub would have been open world and feel more like a sim racer. Hence, I'm saying Sony should have made their own Forza Horizon.

Lol you clearly did not play Driveclub, not that I didn't already doubt it, but now you proved it. Driveclub worse than NFS and The Crew? Maybe you should not come on a PS-exclusive related topic when you have no idea how it plays.

You aren't the first Sony fan to presume I haven't played Driveclub. I actually have.

Did I say Driveclub is worse than those games? No. I said they do a better job at filling the arcade racer gap.

Driveclub is more like a mediocre sim racer than arcade racer. I'm not saying its bad, just average. The Sony audience loves racers but they don't have anything great yet.

How do they fill the track based arcade racer gap exactly?
The last track based NFS was the run, you don't seriosuly believe that competes with DC?

I've played most track based and open world racers. I prefer the racing in track based games while open world is fun for exploring and doing stunt challenges. DC is definitely the best track based racer since PGR.
