It could very well have a worse one. For one thing, Japan's economy has slipped into recession.

The other : PS4's first year in Japan hasn't been remarkably better than the WiiU's. I don't think Japanese consumers have soured against Nintendo or Sony any much more than the other.

Japan is heavily front loaded.

The only reason it wouldn't is because of the systems launch week numbers (500k?). Otherwise Im expecting a much higher baseline. If FFXV, Street FIghter V, Deep Down, Tekken 7, Gundam and Persona 5 all get released in the fall we could quite easily have the PS4 achieve more then one 100k weeks next year which I think will outweigh the 2014's launch numbers.

Until we actually see a real baseline shift begin to grow even now, there's still no reason to expect any 100k+ weeks anytime in 2015 let alone several. PS4 sales are atrocious now- they need to meet a more acceptable level to gather enough momentum to do significantly better than this past year.

Last year the Wii U got one 100k week and one 80k week in december. I see no reason why the PS4 won't easily top that and have several weeks above 100k if the above line up is true. The only real If, Is FFXV which might be a 2016 release? Also we've already seen a baseline increase merely based on frequent quality games releases. Remember when the system was doing 6k? Baseline wise I also see no logic for why it would be down when you look at Q1s schedule.
