It could very well have a worse one. For one thing, Japan's economy has slipped into recession.

The other : PS4's first year in Japan hasn't been remarkably better than the WiiU's. I don't think Japanese consumers have soured against Nintendo or Sony any much more than the other.

Japan is heavily front loaded.

The only reason it wouldn't is because of the systems launch week numbers (500k?). Otherwise Im expecting a much higher baseline. If FFXV, Street FIghter V, Deep Down, Tekken 7, Gundam and Persona 5 all get released in the fall we could quite easily have the PS4 achieve more then one 100k weeks next year which I think will outweigh the 2014's launch numbers.
