I took it exactly how you expected. You wouldn't have a go at me otherwise. Why would I not take something you meant personally in any other way?
My backing for Halo losing fan interest for the Halo's after 3 is based on more than just comments. Part of my job deals with the YouTube gaming scene. Halo 3 created massive things on social media for the series in terms of youtubers. After that it's presence pretty much died on YouTube.
Bungie jumped off a ship that had Reach-ed (excuse the pun) the crest of a wave. It's been downhill for the series ever since. 680k MCC for November was unthinkable for a lot of people. Including many Halo fans.

It's a collection of games most Xbox owners have already played, hardly an example of a downhill slope. You might want to wait until Halo 5 releases and we get sales data on what a NEW game in the franchise does.

Oh I know that but if you look at the MCC sales prediction thread people said things like "anything under 1M sales is crazy talk". And prectictions as high as 1.8M were normal.
Well here is some crazy talk. It got nowhere near 1M in sales. I think for a series with such high expectations those sales are bad. And now with horribly broken online you can kiss goodbye any chance of good long legs.
