Sony did not. Western developers did.
Vita got a lot of show time in TGS and Sony just showed everyone it's doing what it can to make it keep alive in the West at the PSX event. Lot's of deals were made and showed for Vita there.

My bad, I only meant SCEA and all the studios that are part of it. Of course, we know SCEJ/A will continue to support it since its doing well in Japan and the advent of its launch in China.

We can't say vita is doing that well even in Japan but it's a lot better then in Usa or Europe
