GTA2 was on the Dreamcast.
So it would not be the first time.
As for this deal, it depends upon how much increase GTA's release brings to the stock. It has gone up on speculation. But I am not sure it does not have room to improve.
In other words, EA will get what they want, but will probably have to pay closer to $30 per share to accomplish it.
