1. Putting the FFX/X-2 HD remaster on PS4 was a no-brainer. There is demand for it, and it took basically zero effort and money on SE's part to make it happen. Easy port.
2. FFVII's remake isn't just about demand. They definitely never said that there isn't enough demand for it. It would be an immensely expensive and lengthy project, requiring a lot of time, money, and a large veteran staff. Basically, a full PS4 remake of FFVII would prevent a team from creating a new game for a while.
What you want (FFVII remake) is not impact by FFX/X-2 being on PS4 whatsoever.
