I wouldn't even say it was good for MS, they had to pay for something they were getting anyway, only winners are SquEnix and CD.

 

Microsoft wouldn't have gotten it, and neither would Sony. This game probably wouldn't be happening (especially so soon) without Microsoft. And with MS development and advertising dollars keeping this game alive, I highly doubt a PS4 release in the future.
