Try being more generic. I googled "bacteria mars" and got stuff like http://scienceline.ucsb.edu/getkey.php?key=2986 . Overall it seems there's no silver bullet discovered yet, but the general consensus is that there was something from Mars that may have been bacteria. Also, it's unclear whether the rover brought bacteria with it, but it is commonly believed several hundred species survived the decontamination procedures, so the answer is "probably." |
i just thought i reme, bered hearing a story about scientists thinking they discovered life on mars (whether it be bacteria or something else) only to then retract their claim, because it came from the rover.
and obviously the guy i was arguing with also thought they had recently discovered somesort of life.
it seems we both made up the story
but i really couldnt find anything, other than them making discoveries about mars being potentially able to support life
