Well there's your problem. You only played the smallest part of the game. The game opens up to extreme lengths after that first part is over.

Seriously, you have to try playing through a significant part of the game before passing judgment.

Be fair. If a game doesn't grab you by the end of act 1 it is fair enough to trade it in and get something else. It took me a little while to warm into DA I but certainly a hello lot less time than the whole of Act 1.

Fantastic to see this win THE GOTY, if it can be called that. But I don't see it winning most of the reviewer GOTYs will be interesting to see how thing shake out.

It will. Dragon Age got really high ratings across the board with a few idiots giving it disgusting scores, thus lowering the meta. I'm sure it's gonna get the larger GOTY awards as well.
