Nintendo was just throwing a bone to the Game Awards and to the fan base in general. If the Zelda reveal was 15 minutes of direct-feed footage (like Uncharted 4) instead of 4 minutes of off-screen footage on a strangely angled TV with almost no audio since there was talking and voiceovers, then it would have been an even bigger deal. People now know what UC4 will look like, whereas Zelda still needs to show/present real audio, a proper title, a proper trailer, and some direct feed gameplay footage...which will make its next appearance in a Direct or at E3 much more hype-able than just "more footage" of UC4 will be.
That being said, BOTH games look fantastic from what I've seen! :)
