Actually, I'm pretty sure we might have discussed this before....or was it about the Wii's big guns? Well anyway, after the HUGE hype machine broke down for Lair, Heavenly Sword, Ratchet & Clank, etc., what did the gamers do? Look for the next games of course.

After hyping MGS4, GT5, Killzone 2 and all the other games that are due for 2008, where some of them deserved the hype while others become lackluster, its time for 2009's lineup.

Why not just enjoy the games that are coming up, and just feel excited about the games that are coming within a couple of weeks from now, instead of hyping up games that are months, or years away from releasing?

Even though Ratchet, Lair, HS, etc. were hyped up (and Lair and HS did bad) those weren't the biggest games PS3 had to offer. FF, MGS, GT, etc. are the biggest ones. Which happens after the biggest ones are released I'm talking about.

Yes, obviously those titles weren't the biggest titles for the PS3, but I believe the same principle still follows. Once the titles appear, people will enjoy the games, then run after the next title. It is that simple. Once the big guns for the PS3 come out, the people will talk about it, say how cool it is....then talk about the next game that will help bring their favorite system to the top in this fictional console war. I think there should be less promotional ads for these games by us gamers and more gaming....or at least discussions about how cool the game is, what is our favorite part, etc. Or at least just talk about just plain sales about current games, or soon-to-be-released games...this is a website about sales, as far as I know.
