I do agree with many of his points, though i understand the exceptions that may come to be, like Jizz point about pre-order.
Still, i try to only pre-order close to the release date, since i don't want publishers confusing pre-order with funding.
I also think his #6 point is impossible. Our culture became this way, where things are so fast and we always want the next big thing. I do miss the days of the GBC where i taught others things about pokemon or helped them finish oracle of ages, but it could be nostalgia.
