I had the same education. Private school wasted my time with worthless religious classes, then in the middle of my junior year I decided to leave the private school for public school. Still after having to take extra classes to graduate I made it. Then went to community college, but had a kid and had to leave. But did I give up and just become a life long minimum wage worker? no. I joined the military. When the deployments got too much and I left and once again was out of work with three worthless degrees and no experience did i give up and expect the world to hand me what I wantec on a silver plate? no. I worked hard at my minimum wage job to better myself. Never expected anything more for a job a monkey could do. Just pushed myself and became a store night manager in just under 1.5 years. Americans and their couch culture want something for nothing.

Why should I be for us being paid to have no ambition? Huh?

The reest of thd world is walking all over us and besting us at everyfhing, but the Summer olympics. yippee!

its 10 freaking dollar, and they are doin something for their payment, they strike...   do you realy think threating the poor and uneducated like crap and let em work the whole day makes anything better? and its good for the economy AND the consumer, because they have to compete on other things and not on wages.

I am actually not against the fact that it is 10 dollars an hour. I think some states may actually be at that mark or passed it anyways. I am against minimum wage workers thinking they deserve it. They are poor and have to work such hard jobs just to make ends meat. Did America make them get girls pregnant or make girls get pregnant. Or make them not study hard or go to college or learn a trade if they are not good at school, or join the military, or get on disability if all of that is impossible for them? No.

I expect people to work hard and do their best. Same thing I tell my employees. Do your best, don't argue or give me attitude or complain. But Americans just want to do all of that. The successful ones do not.

I just lost an employee. Know why? She went to school to become a nurse and is now making whatever it is Nurses make. She left Walmart where she was making 11 something an hour after 3 years. Good job!

She worked hard while at Walmart and recieved decent raises yearly. in fact, if you want to stay with the company regular associates can push as much as 18 dollars an hour over a 15 year span! But that means they need to stay with the company and do well every day that they work. They get over a month of vacation, sick days, 401k, stock purchase option and match, 401 k match, great health and dental, life insurance, accident insurance, etc!

I am sorry that some wish to go from job to job their whole life because they are either on drugs, have an attitude problem or lack an eternal sensor and always get in trouble. Or any other excuse or reason. But that is their problem. Empoyers want workers! They do not want to have to fire anyone or have a crappy worker who just wants to punch the clock. If you do good by them, they usually will do good by you.

But nothing should just automatically be expected just because you are struggling to make ends meat. If two jobs is what it takes, then two jobs it is. Sorry.

everyone who is working fulltime deserves to make ends meat.  why should you work at all if you cant life from it?
