Probably Truman as he ended up being one of the biggest war criminal of history.

But of course as far as internal US politics are concerned I can't tell which ones were the worst.

Is this because of the atom bombs?. Someone had to use them first, you know?. If he didn't use them the soviets would've used them. Also, he rejected the many proposals by his generals to use atom bombs in the Korean war.

How does that makes it ok ? It's like saying we all die in the end, so it's ok to murder someone.

Well 1st off don't call it murder, it was during wartime. 2nd do you know what the alternative was? It would of been a direct invasion which would of extended the war and drain Japan's already depeleted resources, and the invasion would've cost thousands of U.S and Japanese lives. And the Soviets were planning to invade too, they wanted to end the war, it could've been Germany all over again, with parts of Japan being controlled and split by the world. I bring this up because you can't really say the Atom Bomb was the wrong Or right thing to do, it was part of a list of weak alternatives.

What would you have done?
