It’s been almost a year since we heard anything new regarding OPQAM’s upcoming shoot ‘em up, Project Root, but we can reveal that the game is still on the way and is set for release in early 2015, and will be playable at PlayStation Experience.
Coming to the Vita courtesy of Argentine developers Opqam, Project Root is a free roaming overhead shooter in which you will take on the role of rebel ace Lance Rockport. Piloting the advanced F-72 Zonda hover fighter against the ruthless Prometheus Corporation and taking place across eight different levels, players will take on enemies both in the air and on the ground; they’ll receive upgrades in firepower, armour and manoeuvrability while utilizing special weapon drops during battle, and engage in frenetic boss battles and strike at the root of the evil Prometheus Corporation.
